CINDY STUMPO AT THE WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP FORUM

Cindy Stumpo is CEO of C. Stumpo Development is a luxury custom home builder and developer in the Brookline and Newton areas. Stumpo is among a handful of women who can claim this career and she hopes to inspire young women to become part of the construction industry. She was the only woman in the room taking the General Contractors exam at the age of 23. At the time her male competitors told her “You’ll never make it in this industry.” For 25 years and counting, Stumpo has been building houses and shattering stereotypes. She starred in HGTV’s “Tough as Nails” television series, and was featured in Forbes magazine, Boston Common, The Boston Herald, The Boston Globe. Stumpo was named “Builder of the Year” by her peers, honored as “Exceptional Woman of the Year” by 106.7FM, and was named “Inspirational Woman of the Year” by the Brookview House. Recently she spoke at the 2014 MA Conference for Women to a packed house of women who were inspired by her story.
